Support
Questions, a bug, or a shot that wouldn't trace? Email support@golfskytrace.app and we'll help. If Auto Track struggled with a video, tell us how it was filmed; it helps us make tracking better.
Filming tips for the best tracer
- Stand behind the golfer, looking down the target line, with the ball visible on the ground.
- Keep the phone still. A tripod or leaning it on a bag works best.
- Leave sky above the golfer so the ball can be seen in flight.
- Film at 60 fps or higher if you can (Settings → Camera → Record Video).
- Use the original video from your camera roll, not one that already has a tracer drawn on it.
Common questions
Auto Track says it couldn't find the ball. Scrub to the moment of impact, tap Mark, then try Auto Track again. You can always set the impact and landing points by hand and adjust Height, Curve and Peak.
How do I get the 3D fly-over? Open the shot's Map tab, search for your course, set the Tee and Landing points, then choose 3D preview. Export with Split screen with 3D fly-over.
The map or 3D view won't load. Course search and map imagery need an internet connection.
Where do exported videos go? After an export, choose Save to Photos or Share.
